Korea's human rights watchdog approved the establishment of a foundation advocating for the rights of transgender people on Thursday, following nearly two years of deliberations.
A former Korean solider, who was forcibly discharged after a sex reassignment surgery, on Tuesday filed an administrative suit against the Army's decision, saying it was unconstitutional.
